The Explosions

Excerpt:

From “Above the Fold”

The Viral Lease

Give me the war

under the cornfields

& denim. Sheaves of war

den the scalped city.

Torches stain

the night

with headaches

& mortgages.

Lagging miter,

I’m a Gentile

int the toothache of killings.

Beware: one cup

is fleshed

with ants;

the war has broken

& bruised wider

than eyes. Your branch

is broken.

Your brother is a breath.
